Alabama Amendment 4 was on the November 7, 1998 election ballot in Alabama. It passed, with 58.9% of voters in favor.

The language that appeared on the ballot:

Obligation bonds of the State of Alabama of up to $5,700,000 for the purposes of providing, equipping, and improving facilities for the purpose of providing and the equipping of a center for cotton and cotton products technology, and for its use as an educational applied research, and promotional facilities in the field of textile and apparel technology.
