Text of measure

The language that appeared on the ballot:

Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, to provide that counties and incorporated municipalities in Alabama receive a minimum of 10 percent of the trust income from the Alabama Trust Fund when the trust income in the preceding fiscal year exceeds sixty million dollars ($60,000,000); and to provide that the funds distributed to the counties and incorporated municipalities shall be expended as provided by general law.
