Alabama database may be barring eligible voters
From Ballotpedia
October 25 2008
Alabama's new voter-registration database has mistakenly bounced dozens of people from the voter rolls in Cullman County. The system showed them as felons ineligible to vote even though they had only been convicted of misdemeanors. Those mistakes were caught by the county's top election official, but it's unclear how well the database will function on election day.[1]
November 4 is database's first test
The database was created under the supervision of a federal judge as part of the Help America Vote Act. This election will be the first test of its effectiveness.[1]
