Alabama elections chief calls for investigation of suspicious voter rolls

Alabama secretary of state asks state attorney general to investigate counties with more registered voters than people. Beth Chapman said that there is no evidence of voter fraud, but that she is concerned about the discrepancy in six counties between census figures and voter registration numbers.[1],[2]
A call for federal monitoring of elections in six Alabama counties
Chapman said that local officials told her that census figures for the counties in question may be inaccurate. Nevertheless, she said that the areas have a troubling history, and has asked the United States Department of Justice to monitor elections there.[1]
