Alamosa Board Charter Amendment, 2009

The Alamosa Board Charter Amendment appeared on the November 3, 2009 ballot in Alamosa County for voters in the City of Alamosa.

The amendment proposed allowing non-city residents to serve on city boards/committees. Councilor Josef Lucero said that the city's current charter is obsolete and in need of amendment.

The measure was placed on the ballot after a 5 to 1 vote by the city council. Councilor Leland Romero dissented. Councilors Charles Griego, Greg Gillaspie, April Gonzales, Josef Lucero and Mayor Pro Tem Kathy Rogers voted in favor of placing the measure on the ballot.[1]
