Gore ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. Senate, representing Mississippi. He defeated Roger Weiner and Will Oatis in the March 13 primary and faced incumbent Roger Wicker, Thomas Cramer, and Shawn O'Hara in the November 6 general election.[2][3] Wicker won.[1]
