American Association of University Women Arizona (AAUWA) is part of the Rocky Mountain Region of the American Association of University Women. With 15 branches throughout the state and approximately 2,000 members have for over fifty years achieved goals for improvement, opportunity, and equity for women and girls in education, the workplace, and the community.[1]

Mission Statement

  • "The American Association of University Women and the AAUW Educational Foundation advance equity for women and girls, through advocacy, education, philanthropy, and research."[2]

Leadership

  • "The offices of Program Vice-President, Corresponding Secretary, and Treasurer are elected in even-numbered years at State Convention. The President-Elect, Membership Vice-President, and Recording Secretary are elected in odd-numbered years at Convention. The Executive Committee is composed of the elected officers of AAUW-AZ and acts for the Board of Directors in the interim between board meetings. The Board of Directors is composed of the elected and appointed officers."[3]
