Kyle E. Barber was charged in December 2004 with 17 felonies surrounding a voter fraud allegations during the 2003 Anderson municipal election. Allegedly, Barber, along with several others who have also been charged, delivered and picked up absentee ballots, as well as directed people to vote in precincts where they did not live. [1]
Now, over three years later, prosecutors have failed to bring Barber to trial. In April Baber's attorney filed for a motion to dismiss due to expiration of a one year time frame for prosecution. Henry Superior Court 1 Judge Michael D. Peyton dismissed all charges today. All felony charges that Barber was charged with carried a sentence of six months to three years in prison. [2]
