The Animal Defense League of Arizona (ALDA) is a statewide animal protection organization working on behalf of companion animals, wildlife, animals in laboratories, animals in entertainment, and farm animals.[1] ALDA was founded in 1997 through the merger of Phoenix-based Concerned Arizonans for Animal Rights and Ethics (CAARE) and Tucson-based Voices for Animals (VFA). "ADLA is a statewide non-profit 501(c)(3) animal rights organization." ALDA uses education and public awareness, research and investigation, and reform in order to reach organization goals.[2]
