Williams is an attorney with the firm of Storino, Ramello & Durkin, where she specializes in municipal law. Previously, she worked on the government affairs team for Wyeth Pharmaceuticals. Earlier in the 2000s, Williams worked as a legislative director in the office of Attorney General Lisa Madigan and clerked for Illinois First District Appellate Court Judge Margaret O'Mara Frossard. Early in her career, she was a staff attorney for Lisa Madigan's father, Speaker of the Illinois House Michael Madigan.
She received her bachelor's degree in Journalism and Political Science from the University of Iowa, and her J.D. from Drake University Law School.[1]
