Mah currently works as a trainer/speaker, and is the owner of Discover! Strategies. Previously she worked as an Area Manager for SBC and a teacher in Emporia and Chase County Public Schools.
She is a member of the Capitol Area Federated Women's Democratic Club, Shawnee County Democrats, State Committee of the North Central Association, and serves on the Board of Directors of the United Way of Greater Topeka.[1]
Mah received her BSE and MS in Education from Emporia State University.

Issues
Mah has planned bills for a number of her legislative priorities, including Unilateral annexation, KPERS retiree income limits, Immigration reform, and Tax credit for college tuition
She refused to take Project Vote Smart's 2008 Political Courage Test. The test, which is administered to all candidates for presidential, congressional, gubernatorial, and state legislative offices, asks one central question - "Are you willing to tell citizens your positions on the issues you will most likely face on their behalf?"[2]

On November 4, 2008, Mah was re-elected to the 53rd District Seat in the Kansas House of Representatives, defeating Cecil T. Washington, Jr. (R). [7] Mah raised $38,928 for her campaign, while Washington raised $11,418. [8]
