Gobi is an attorney. Prior to her election to the House, she served on the Spencer Democratic Town Committee from 1998-2001.

Gobi won re-election in the 2012 election for Massachusetts House of Representatives Fifth Worcester District. Gobi was unopposed in the September 6 Democratic primary and defeated Jason Petraitis (R) in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[2]
2010
Gobi won re-election to the Fifth Worcester Seat in 2010. She had no primary opposition. She defeated Rodney Josephson (R) in the general election on November 2, 2010.[3]
