The Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG) runs the Staples Center and the L.A. Live entertainment complex in Los Angeles.
AEG has donated to several ballot measure campaigns.
- $75,000 to a $1-billion affordable-housing bond in 2006 in Los Angeles.
- $100,000 to City of Los Angeles Communications Users Tax, Measure S (February 2008).
- $137,000 to Los Angeles Term Limits, Proposition R.[1]
AEG has cumulatively spent more than $1.3 million since July 2005 on politics concerning governance in Los Angeles. Chris Modrzejewski is AEG's lobbyist and his wife works at a firm that raises campaign money for political candidates, including Los Angeles City Controller Wendy Greuel, and some Los Angeles city ballot measures including Proposition B (Solar Panels), 2009 and Proposition A (Anti-Gang), 2008.[1]
