A vote about whether to recall Anthony Cogliandro from his position as a selectman in Acton, Maine, took place on June 29, 2010]/[1] Cogliandro was recalled.[2]

William Lotz was a leader in the recall effort. He organized a petition drive to collect 172 signatures to force the recall election. The petition gave as reasons for seeking the recall, "Failure to model appropriate, professional and respectful leadership behavior ... resulting in discord, disunity and a hostile and intimidating environment."[2]
