The Appropriations Committee is a standing committee of the Georgia State Senate.

Function

The Appropriations Committee is responsible for proposing legislation that allocates funds to the numerous government agencies, departments, and organizations on an annual basis. With its nine sub-committees, Appropriations is responsible for holding hearings as well as approving said legislation for a $22 billion balanced budget.
