Arcadia School District Bond Measure (November 2011)
This measure was defeated
This measure sought to issue a bond in the amount of $23 million in order to build a new elementary/middle school in the district as well as pay for renovation costs of the old elementary/middle school facility. School officials noted that student population had been increasing consistently and there was now a strong need for a bigger school building. While officials noted that in the long run the benefit would outweigh the costs, some residents noted that this would just add a larger burden to taxpayers in the district.
