Arcadia School District Levy Renewals, 2 (March 2012)
Both measures were approved
The first measure sought to renew the current school levy which was set at a rate of $.37 per $100 of assessed property value for a further three years in order to continue to avoid an operations deficit in the school district.
The second measure sought to renew the current school levy which was set at a rate of $.54 per $100 of assessed property value for a further four years in order to continue to avoid an operating deficit in the school district.[1]
The results of the measures were as follows:[2]
- YES: 509 (59.07%)
- NO: 353 (40.93%)[3]

The question on the ballot:
| Measure 1: Shall a levy renewing an existing levy be imposed by the Arcadia Local School District for the purpose of AVOIDING AN OPERATING DEFICIT in the sum of $305,000 and a levy of taxes to be made outside of the ten-mill limitation estimated by the county auditor to average 3.71 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to thirty-seven cents ($0.37) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for a period of three (3) years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013?
Measure 2: Shall a levy renewing an existing levy be imposed by the Arcadia Local School District for the purpose of AVOIDING AN OPERATING DEFICIT in the sum of $440,000 and a levy of taxes to be made outside of the ten-mill limitation estimated by the county auditor to average 5.4 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to fifty-four cents ($0.54) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for a period of four (4) years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013? |
