A City of Arcadia Utility Users Tax, or Measure A, was on the June 9, 2009 ballot in Los Angeles County for voters in the City of Arcadia, where it was approved.

Arcadia's utility tax is 5%. What Measure A did was broaden the types of services and technologies that are covered by the tax.

The question asked of voters was, "“Shall an ordinance be adopted to update, with no increase in rates, Arcadia’s existing Utility User’s Tax Ordinance on telephone/telecommunications services to address current and future technologies in order to preserve funding for critical City services, including police and fire protection, paramedic services, library and recreational programs, so that all taxpayers are treated equally regardless of technology used, while maintaining current low income and disabled exemptions?”"
