Arizona 2012 ballot measures

Nine statewide questions were approved for the 2012 ballot in the state of Arizona.
- One measure was taken off the ballot via a filed lawsuit after it was certified.
- Arizona Legislature was in session until April 20, 2011, the last day in 2011 that the state legislature could send a measure to the ballot that year.
- Supporters of ballot initiative efforts had until the July 5, 2012 petition drive deadline to turn in the required amount of signatures for their proposals.
- Signature requirements for ballot initiative efforts were 259,212 signatures for initiated constitutional amendments and 172,808 for initiated state statutes.
- Two measures filed signatures on the day of the deadline. One filed before the day of the deadline, but faced litigation. That measure eventually made the ballot.
- The 2012 state legislative session began on January 10, 2012 and ended in mid-April of 2012. Legislative referrals could have been sent to the 2012 ballot during this time.
