Arizona officials to analyze ballot measures
PHOENIX, Arizona: Today, a legislative committee will decide what descriptions will be used for ballot measures that are certified for the November 2, 2010 ballot. Those descriptions will be placed on official state pamphlets sent to voters in the state.
Some state questions include the following:
- A measure that would would amend the Arizona Constitution by barring any rules or regulations that force Arizonans to participate in a health-care system. The proposed amendment would also ensure that individuals have the right to pay for private health insurance.
- An initiated state statute that would allow residents in the state with specific medical conditions to be treated with certain amounts of marijuana for personal use.
