PHOENIX, Arizona: The Arizona ballot for November keeps growing, as voters will decide on the Arizona land conservation fund transfer question. The measure, which was passed by the Arizona Legislature on March 16, 2010, will appear on the November 2, 2010 ballot in the state of Arizona as a legislatively-referred state statute. The measure would transfer $123.5 million from a land-conservation fund to the general fund. The measure was introduced in order to help balance the state budget. The measure, and two other ballot provisions, are being placed in front of voters to help close the predicted $2.6 million deficit in the next fiscal year, and the $700 million of the current budget shortfall.[1][2]
