The Arkansas Secret Ballot Amendment is a proposed initiated constitutional amendment that would require that union elections be conducted by secret ballot. Its sponsoring group is "Save Our Secret Ballot in Arkansas". The group, chaired by Gilbert Baker, hopes to qualify the measure for the November 2010 ballot.

Dustin McDaniel's office has rejected the first draft of a ballot title for the measure on the grounds that it is confusing. The group will be able to submit revisions to McDaniel's office.[1]

According to McDaniel: "All elections by the people shall be by ballot or by voting machines which insure the secrecy of individual votes. The fundamental right of individuals to vote by secret ballot is thus already enshrined in the constitution, raising the question of how, if at all § 1 of your proposed measure would change existing law."
