From Ballotpedia

| Year | Amendment | Statute | Veto referendum |
|---|---|---|---|

| 2008 | 77,468 | 61,974 | 46,481 |

Signature requirements are based on the vote cast for governor in the most recent gubernatorial election. 774,680 votes were cast for the office of Arkansas governor in the 2006 election. The next gubernatorial election in the state is in 2010. As a result, the signature requirements for 2008 and 2010 are the same.
- For a statutory initiative in the state of Arkansas, 8% of the vote cast for Governor is required in signatures.[1]
- For a constitutional amendment in Arkansas, 10% of the vote cast for Governor is required.
- 6% is required for a veto referendum.
Geographic distribution
Arkansas has a geographic distribution requirement for signatures. Signatures must be from 4% of registered voters from at least 15 of 75 counties for a statutory initiative or referendum, and 5% of registered voters from at least 15 of 75 counties for a constitutional amendment.
