This measure was approved

  • YES 7,197 (59.8%)Approveda
  • NO 4,839 (40.2%)[1]

This measure sought to allow the village government to buy electricity for residents and small businesses. Residents and businesses will be able to opt out of the program if they do not want to participate. Village officials noted that by having a large group of people seeking competitive bids, they would be able to get lower rates than if just individuals were getting electricity rates.[2]
