An Arrowbear Water District parcel tax, Measure U was on the November 4, 2008 ballot in San Bernardino County for voters in the Arrowbear Park County Water District, where it was defeated.
Measure U would have imposed a parcel tax of $45.00/parcel/year for up to thirty years.
To pass, it needed a supermajority vote of 66.67% of those voting in the election.
- Yes: 174 (50.6%)
- No: 170 (49.4%)
The language on the ballot said:
- Shall the Arrowbear Park County Water District fund the purchase and/or lease, and maintenance, of fire engines and firefighting apparatus and equipment by means of a special tax of $45.00 per parcel per year, adjusted annually for inflation, for a maximum of 30 years?
