An Artesia Hotel Tax, Measure S was on the November 3, 2009 ballot in Los Angeles County for voters in the City of Artesia, where it was defeated.

• No: 437 (50.58%)

The measure, if enacted, will increase the hotel tax in Artesia from 6% to 12.5%.

The question asked on the ballot will be, "Shall Ordinance No. 09-749, which increases the transient occupancy tax from 6% to 12.5%, be adopted?"
