Article IX of the Utah Constitution is entitled Congressional and Legislative Apportionment and consists of two sections.

Section 1

Text of Section 1:

Dividing the state into districts.

No later than the annual general session next following the Legislature's receipt of the results of an enumeration made by the authority of the United States, the Legislature shall divide the state into congressional, legislative, and other districts accordingly.

Section 2

Text of Section 2:

Number of members of Legislature.

The Senate shall consist of a membership not to exceed twenty-nine in number, and the number of representatives shall never be less than twice nor greater than three times the number of senators.
