Language on the ballot:
||Shall Atlas Township impose an increase of up to 2.1 mills ($2.10 per $1,000 of taxable value) in the tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution and levy it for 4 years, 2013 through 2016 inclusive, for police protection, which 2.1 mill increase will raise an estimated $565,960.00 in the first year the millage is levied. This millage replaces the previous one (1) mill Police Millage and the Police Special Assessment.
