Ballot being used to fight speed cameras

ANNAPOLIS, Maryland: Two states, Maryland and Arizona, may see ballot measures that would ban or limit speed camera systems, cameras that are placed on highways and school crossing zones to catch speeding drivers in the state.[1]

In Maryland, the referendum proposes to reverse a decision made by the Maryland Legislature to begin implementing speed cameras in school and construction zones.

In Arizona, there are three initiatives that are circulating to gather signatures in order to be placed on the ballot:
