HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania: There are 228 total legislative seats with 2012 elections in Pennsylvania, where polling places are open from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Eastern Time.

Both the House and the Senate are in Republican hands currently, and the appear to be leaning to the right again for 2012. However, the majorities are slim enough that it is possible that one or both of the chambers could flip to Democratic control, particularly the House.

Of the 228 incumbents up for election in 2012, 202 (88.6%) of them are running for re-election. A total of 108 of 228 (47.7%) districts will see more than one major party candidate in the general election.
