If you're a blogger, and you have an opinion about a ballot measure in your state, here's how to add your endorsement to the Ballotpedia page that lists blogger and newspaper endorsements in your state.

- Read up on a few tips on how to edit a page (It's easy).

- Once you're in the edit function of the page you'll be editing (for example, Endorsements of Ohio ballot measures, 2009), copy the code from one of the existing newspaper/blogger lines, paste it into the part of the page where you want your endorsement line to appear, and work from there. In the first column, insert the URL of your blog or the URL of a specific blog post you wrote about a ballot measure, like this: [http://yourblog.wordpress.com Your Blog], which will show up on the page as Your Blog.

- Inserting the code {{d}} is how you indicate opposition to a measure. This appears on the page as

- Inserting the code {{ap}} is how you indicate support for a measure. This shows up on the page as
.
Step five
- While you're at it, look for the page on Ballotpedia about the media in your state. This page is almost always called Ohio media, Connecticut media, etc. You'll see that the page includes some blogs that cover political subjects in your state. Is your blog on that list? If not, please add it. Ballotpedia:Adding a blog to a blog list tells you how to do that.
