Tyler King is the State Legislative Project Director on Ballotpedia. He has been on Ballotpedia's writing and research staff since May 2010.

King, studied computer science at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. His interests include gaming, Japanese language and culture, philosophy, bowling, and Mulch.

He is responsible for state legislative content for New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island. This work includes expanding the information available in Ballotpedia's profiles of state legislators, and analyzing state legislative election data, including the impact of term limits and incumbency re-election rates.

In 2012, he continued the State legislative "Competitiveness Project" which captures the extent of electoral competitiveness exhibited in state legislative elections.

One of King's contributions to Ballotpedia's coverage of the 2010 state legislative election are graphics used in candidate lists to distinguish candidates based on their party affiliation:
