Ballotpedia:Washington
From Ballotpedia
This is a project page for a project on Ballotpedia about Washington.
Status:
- We've recently redesigned the Washington page to make it more user-friendly as a hub for getting to everything about Washington.
- We've recently added a new template for Breaking News, which Colorado seems to have lots of. If you add an item that fits into this category, please add the template (just type {{news}}) at the place on the page where you want the banner to appear). Editors that are responsible for the front page content will check this category daily for items to possibly add to the front page news column. For more info on this template, what qualifies as breaking news, etc., see Help:Breaking News. To see what's currently in the Breaking News category, go to Category:Breaking News.
General/ongoing areas that we need contributors to work on:
- Adding breaking news regarding Washington initiatives
- Creating pages for "red links"
- Red links are pages that don't currently exist but that we would like to have. Anytime you see a red link, you are encouraged to start a page on that subject.
- Go to the List of Washington ballot measures page, click on any of the links, and if there are red links for any of the individual initiatives, work on creating some of those missing pages.
- Add the state template to all pages related to Washington. This prompts display of the banner that links to the Washington Hub (as displayed at the bottom of this page). To add the template to any page, just type {{Washington}} at the bottom of the page, just above the Categories.
Washington areas that need work and improvement
- Continue work on articles and charts on past initiatives.
- Putting up at least stub articles on all the current pending initiatives, even those that don't necessarily seem serious.
- Adding articles about groups and individuals who actively support or oppose initiatives in Colorado.
- More information on local initiatives
- Political consultants and advocacy groups
- Following the money: Add information about donations and donors to ballot measure campaigns. This info can be found at followthemoney.org.
