Barbara Holsclaw is a Republican politician in Kentucky, a former county clerk in Jefferson County and a former candidate for Governor in the 2011 elections.[1] With 14% of the vote, she placed last in the May 17, 2011 primary.

Biography

Career

Ms. Holsclaw began her political career in 1985, working under U.S. Attorney, Judge Ronald Meredith in the U.S. Attorney's Office. In 1990, she went to work for Bob Dole while he was the Republican Senate Minority Leader.

November 1998 saw her elected as the Jefferson County Clerk, a position voters returned her to in 2002, 2006, and 2010.

Holsclaw sought the Republican gubernatorial nomination in 2011, but finished last in the three-way primary.
