Richardson is retired. Her professional experience includes policy supervisor for the State of New Hampshire; social worker for New Hampshire Health and Human Services; social work administrator and program specialist for the State of New Hampshire; and child welfare social worker in the State of New Hampshire.
Richardson earned her B.A. from Bryn Mawr College and MSW in Social Work from Smith College. She is widowed and has four children; Barbara, Laurence, Chris, and Lovel.
