Lambert has been an Alderwoman for the 2nd District, Milford. She is a member of Bethel Shelter, is a Girl Scout leader, Vice President of Local 134 URW, coach of Milford Recreational Softball, member of Saint Ann's Parish, and of the Senior Center.[1]

On November 4, 2008, Lambert won election to the Connecticut House of Representatives from Connecticut's 118th District, defeating Nanci Seltzer (R) and Rocco Frank (I). Lambert received 5,472 votes in the election while Seltzer received 3,665 votes, and Frank received 969 votes.[2]
