Barry R. Finegold (b. March 3, 1971) is a Democratic member of the Massachusetts State Senate, representing the Second Essex and Middlesex district. He was first elected to the chamber in 2010. Finegold is running for state treasurer in the 2014 elections.[1]

Finegold served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives, representing the Seventeenth Essex district from 1997 to 2011.

Finegold is running for election to the office of Massachusetts Treasurer. Finegold is seeking the Democratic nomination in the primary on September 16, 2014.][1] The general election takes place November 4, 2014.

Finegold won re-election in the 2012 election for Massachusetts State Senate Second Essex and Middlesex District. Finegold was unopposed in the September 6 Democratic primary and defeated Paul Adams (R) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[2]

Finegold won election to the Second Essex and Middlesex state senate seat in 2010. He defeated John Kelly, Debbie Silberstein and John J. Wilson, Jr. in the September 14 Democratic primary. He defeated Jamison Tomasek (R) in the general election on November 2, 2010.
