Rowland won re-election in the 2012 election for Kentucky House of Representatives District 53. He defeated Freddy Harbison and Richard Treitz in the Republican primary on May 22, 2012, and defeated Thomas Dodson (D) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[3][4]

Special

Rowland won election to Kentucky House of Representatives District 53 in a special election on February 7, 2012. He defeated Barry Dean Steele (D). The seat was vacant after James Comer, Jr. (R) resigned after being elected Kentucky Commissioner of Agriculture on November 8, 2011.[5][6]
