An Alliance School District Levy Renewal measure was on the March 6, 2012 ballot in the Alliance school district area which is in Columbiana County.

This measure was approved

  • YES 2,168 (53.85%)Approveda
  • NO 1,858 (46.15%)[1]

These measures sought to issue a bond in the amount of $21.5 million in order to pay for a new school facility in the district. A levy addition of .5 mills would also be implemented to repay the bond.[2] The bond will allow the district to leave the current five buildings and have everything at one central facility. Since it was approved, the old buildings will be demolished and the land sold. The total cost of the project will be $56 million and the Ohio School Facilities Commission would pay the remainder of the money.[3]
