Three City School District Levy Addition measures were on the November 8, 2011 ballot in the cities of Bedford, Berea and Euclid which are in Cuyahoga County.

All three measures were defeated

The Bedford measure sought to add to the current school levy by a rate of $.12 per $100 of assessed property value for a continuing period of time in order to further pay for general improvement projects in the district.

Text of measure

Bedford The question on the ballot:

An additional tax for the benefit of the Bedford City School District for the purpose of general permanent improvements at a rate not exceeding 1.2 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to 12 cents for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for a continuing period of time, commencing in 2011, first due in calendar year 2012.

Berea The question on the ballot:

An additional tax for the benefit of the Berea City School District for the purpose of current expenses at a rate not exceeding 2.5 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to 25 cents for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for a continuing period of time, commencing in 2011, first due in calendar year 2012.

Euclid The question on the ballot:

An additional tax for the benefit of the Euclid City School District for the purpose of current expenses at a rate not exceeding 5.4 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to 54 cents for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for a continuing period of time, commencing in 2011, first due in calendar year 2012.
