A Bedford Township Transit Levy Renewal measure was on the August 7, 2012 ballot in the township of Bedford, which is in Monroe County.

This measure sought to renew the current city transit levy which is set at a rate of $.24 per $1,000 of assessed value for a further three years in order to continue to pay for the Lake Erie Transportation services and bus services offered in the township.[2]

Shall the expired previously voted increases in the tax rate limitation imposed under Article IX, Section 6 of the Michigan Constitution of .20 mills ($.20 per $1,000 of taxable value) and of .05 mills ($.05 per $1000.00 of taxable value), which combined, totals .25 mills ($.25 per $1,000.00 of the taxable value), and which is reduced to .2464 mills by the required Headlee millage rollbacks, be renewed at .2462 mills ($.2464 per $1,000.00 of the taxable value), upon the taxable real and tangible personal property within the Township of Bedford, Monroe County, Michigan, for a period of three (3) years from 2013 through 2015 inclusive, for the purpose of providing funds to the Lake Erie Transportation Commission for Bedford Dial-A-Ride bus service in Bedford Township? The estimated revenue increase for the first year of the levy, if the proposition is approved, shall be approximately $239,188.54.
