A Belmore Village Current Levy Increase measure was on the November 8, 2011 ballot in the township of Belmore which is in Putnam County.

This measure sought to increase the current expenses levy to one set at a rate of $.60 per $100 of assessed property value for a further five years in order to continue to pay for current expenses in the township.[2]

Text of measure

The question on the ballot:

A replacement of 5 mills of an existing levy and an increase of 1 mill to constitute a tax for the benefit of the Village of Belmore for the purpose of current expenses at a rate not exceeding 6 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.60 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for 5 years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.[3]
