Barber ran in the 2012 election for Oregon House District 36. Barber was defeated by Jennifer Williamson in the Democratic primary on May 15. Sharon Meieran also ran. Bruce Neal is ran unopposed in the Republican primary. The general election took place on November 6, 2012. Incumbent Democrat Mary Nolan did not seek re-election.[1][2]
