Davis served in the Alaska House of Representatives from 1990-1996. During this time she served as both the Majority and Minority Whip. Davis also served on the school board of the Anchorage school district from 1982-89 and again in 1998.
Davis earned a B.S.W. in Social Work from Gambling University in 1971. She also took graduate courses in Family Counseling at University of Alaska, Anchorage.
