Bettye Davis is a Democratic member of the Alaska Senate, representing the K District since 2000. She was previously a member of the Alaska House of Representatives from 1990 through 1996.
Education
Davis has earned a B.S.W. in Social Work from Gambling University in 1971. She has also taken graduate courses in Family Counseling at University of Alaska, Anchorage.
Political Experience
Davis has served on the Alaska Senate since 2000. Prior to the Senate, Davis served on the Alaska House of Representatives from 1990-1996. During this time she served as both the Majority and Minority Whip. During this time she also served on the Anchorage school board from 1982-89 and again in 1998.
