On August 30, 2012, the agency, along with the Department of Agriculture, were merged into the Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry.[1]
Beardsley was appointed by Gov. Paul LePage to an open seat on the State Board of Education after the dissolution of his post.[2]
