Bill Morrisette (b. October 18, 1931) has been a Democratic member of the Oregon Senate since 2002, representing the 6th district.
Education
Morrisette earned his BA in Economics/Political Science from Carroll College in 1953. He went on to receive his MA in Education from the University of Oregon in 1966.
Professional experience
Morrisette was a Social Studies Teacher for Springfield High School from 1963 to 1990.
Political experience
Morrisette is a former member of the Lane County Council of Government. He served on the Springfield City Council from 1987 to 1989. He then became the Mayor of Springfield and served in that position until 1999. Morrisette served in the Oregon State House of Representatives from 1998 to 2002. He joined the Oregon State Senate in 2002. He has served in that position since, representing the 6th district.

Policy positions
