The signature-filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 25, 2014. Sam Foursha was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Incumbent Randy Pike defeated Bill Yarberry in the Republican primary. William Gilmore was unopposed in the Constitution Party primary.[1][2]
