Elections
2014
Richardson announced his intention to run in the 2014 election for the U.S. House, representing Maine's 2nd District. He was encouraged by his ability to garner 40% of the vote for the Republican Primary, telling The Times Record, “Nobody knew who Blaine Richardson was...That’s a great showing for a complete unknown.”[4]
2012
Richardson ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing Maine's 2nd District. Richardson was defeated by Kevin Raye in the Republican primary.[5] Incumbent Mike Michaud ran unopposed in the Democratic primary.
Personal
Richardson is married to his wife, Laura.[6] He has two children from a former marriage – Kyle and Jana.[6]
