A Blaine School District Bond Measure was on the April 26, 2011 ballot in the Blaine school district area which is in Whatcom County.

This measure was defeated because it did not reach the 60% super majority needed to pass.

This measure sought to create a bond in the amount of $32 million in order to help pay for capital improvement projects in the district as well as purchasing land for a future school site in Birch Bay. On average, homeowners would have seen an added $.35 per $1,000 of assessed property value added on to their current tax rate.[2] The school board proceeded to make cuts to staff and programs in the district in anticipation of expected state budget cuts. Noting how important to the school this bond was in order to upgrade school facilities.[3]
