The question on the ballot:

Shall the requirements of Sections 1 through 3, inclusive, of Chapter VI (Contracts) that public improvements and purchases over One Thousand ($1,000.00) Dollars and construction work by city employees over Five Thousand ($5,000.00) Dollars (a) be approved by the Commission; (b) have formal sealed bids unless waived by the Commission be amended to delete the One Thousand ($1,000.00) Dollar and Five Thousand ($5,000.00) Dollar thresholds and state instead that these requirements shall apply to all purchases in excess of a dollar amount established by ordinance adopted by the City Commission?[3]
